Pool decks and the ISPSC 2024 conversation
Pool decks are the wettest walking surfaces on a hotel property, and the 2024 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code brought deck slip resistance into the code discussion. Pendulum (PTV) testing is well-suited to wet, textured deck surfaces, and where a deck underperforms, sealing and traction treatment, verified by re-testing, can bring it into line without sacrificing the look.
