What is ESD flooring?
ESD (electrostatic discharge) flooring is a conductive or static-dissipative coating system that gives static electricity a controlled path to ground, instead of letting it build up on people and equipment and release as a damaging spark. We install Dr. Schutz ESD floor systems as certified applicators, engineered for the environments where static control is a requirement, not a preference.
What standards does ESD flooring work to?
Static-control flooring is specified against recognized electrostatic standards. Our ESD systems are selected to help facilities meet their applicable requirements, including:

Static control and slip resistance
An ESD floor still has to be walked on. As a testing company first, we make sure a static-control system doesn’t create a slip problem. We can verify the finished floor’s slip resistance so it meets both its electrostatic and its walkway-safety obligations.
